Welcome to Bestbrook Mountain Resort

The gateway to the Southern Downs, offering authentic farm stay holidays and weekend getaways. We are located near Brisbane and the Gold Coast in the beautiful South East Queensland country. You will enjoy old fashioned hospitality and magnificent mountain views. Our trail boss and his team will ensure you enjoy your horse riding experience with a 1 or 2 hour trail ride. Children are not left out. They can enjoy parent led pony rides in the horse yards and take in activities such as wagon rides, boomerang throwing, whip cracking and yabby fishing in Gap Creek. They can feed the farm animals, milk a cow and then make the butter to go with the damper and Billy tea.  Bestbrook is dog friendly and guests are free to bring their dogs as long as they are controlled.

Trail rides are our specialty. We cater for all levels of experience from novice to advanced. Horse riding lessons also available. Give us a call and we can arrange a horse riding experience to suit you, your family or your group.

 

Farm activities

Cyril and Bruce will give you a brief overview of the history of the area and demonstrate the old fashioned skills of making butter, Billy tea and damper. Learn the art of cracking an Australian stock whip and throwing a boomerang.
