All tariffs include twice daily animal feeding at 8.30am and 4pm, collecting eggs and milking a cow.
During your stay you can expect to make billy tea and damper, take a wagon ride and learn the art of whip cracking and if the wind is right to do some boomerang throwing.

Rustic Country Farm Stay Cabins

Cabins are fully self-contained, private, comfortable accommodation that is rated at 3 Star. For your convenience, we supply all linen and there is a refrigerator, stove, microwave, electric fry pan, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery.

All 9 cabins are fully self-contained and have; an adequate kitchen, crockery, utensils to self-cater, separate lounge dining, small air conditioners, pot belly stove, TV, DVD, linen, towels, tea and coffee. There are gas BBQ’s and a campfire area at each cabin. Firewood not supplied.

Horse Riding

Horse riding is the only activity that you will pay extra for and we cater for all levels of experience including parent led rides for the younger children.  Due to the horses increased work load from recent weeks we will not be offering horse riding on Wednesdays and Thursdays for the present time.  Also please not that we may not be able to accommodate Day Visitors during peak periods as our priority will be to our House Guests

  • Introduction and lesson in round yard $50.00 per person. Minimum age 7.
  • 1-hour horse trail ride (8 years and older with no prior experience require a lesson first) $70.00 per person
  • 2-hour horse trail ride (Suitable for adults and intermediate to advanced child riders) $120.00 per person

This is a great opportunity for kids who love horses but haven’t got a big enough backyard who think they might like to learn how to handle a horse or who just want to try something a bit more challenging on their holidays.

A five (5) day fully supervised school camp program runs during school holiday for children aged 8 – 15 years.

All inclusive package – accommodation, supervision, meals, activities including horse riding. $600.00 per child.

Fees’ deposits and cancellation policy

  • 10% Surcharge will apply on Public holidays.
  • A minimum 3-night stay applies Easter and long weekends for cabins.
  • A minimum 2-night stay applies to all weekends and school holidays for cabins
  • Late Check out $50 surcharge
  • A deposit equivalent to the first night stay as well as credit card details for security is required on all booking
  • Refunds are granted if notification is given 28 days prior to check in – less an administration fee of 20%
  • Within 28 days deposits are held over for another booking date which must occur within 6 months of the original date
  • If we are forced into a lock down because of Covid19 no refunds will be offered but an inhouse credit that can be used within 12months of the original booking.
  • 14 days or less no deposit is refunded

For the safety of our guests and team and, to comply with current COVID-19 restrictions, guests of Bestbrook must abide by the following:

QLD government has issued a mandate to take effect from the 17th of December that will only allow vaccinated guests to order over the counter and dine at our cafe.

What does this mean for your stay?

We will be welcoming all guests to use our accommodation here at Bestbrook. There will be no restrictions for access to our amenities and swimming pool and all the unsupervised experiences that you can enjoy eg bush walking, fishing for a yabbie, exploring the creek looking for gnomes cave etc.
Restrictions will apply to our Licenced Café and Farm Experiences; only fully vaccinated, or those with a medical contraindication are permitted to order and dine in. Guests can still enjoy all our Café offers, through ordering takeaway food. Our Free Activities are considered outdoor entertainment or a tourism experience so they too unfortunately will be governed by the new rules, you will be able to check in via your QR Code at billy tea and animal feeding and at the front desk when booking into horse riding.

  • Guests must abide by safe respiratory hygiene, including avoiding touching your face and ensuring you cover your mouth and nose when you cough and/or sneeze with either a tissue that you dispose of immediately after use or your bent elbow and then washing your hands.
  • Please refrain from shaking hands or touching anyone, outside of your booking party.
  • Your enjoyment and the safety of all our guests, staff and the wider community is our top priority. To this effect, our already vigilant team have been trained in COVID-19 best practice hygiene and cleaning procedures.
