Farmstay Activities

All activities are dependent on weather conditions on the day, as we want our guests, staff and livestock to be safe.
Outside of peak times our program is more relaxed and we try to accommodate all in-house guests by providing activities around their individual needs.

As we are at the foot hills of Main Range National Park we have a multitude of wildlife gracing out property from tiny little brown frogs to the occasional koala sighting. On different days you will hear the storm birds sing or the currawongs call. You need to keep your eyes out for our slithery friends in the warmer months. While you’re out on a horse ride Bruce will have you keeping a look out for Umidoodle Birds, Wombicoots, Drop Bears and Hoop snakes.

Yabby fishing is something that will keep the kids entertained for hours, with a bucket, piece of string, stick and a piece of rib fillet. Ask at the office if you have come unprepared and we will happily provide the necessary implements to get you started.

Certain times of the year we use a hydroponic system to supply extra feed to our animals.  When in full operation we load it up daily at one end with about 100kg of barley seed and the other end we unload 54 biscuits weighing about 420kg that we feed out. The Barley has a good root mass and lovely green tops that the horses love. They are waiting at the gate every morning for breakfast; even Charlie Barley the Cockatoo loves it.
