About Bestbrook Mountain Resort

Bestbrook is a family owned and operated Australian Farmstay, 90 minutes west of Brisbane, 2hr from the Gold Coast. This is where you can come for a day or stay for a while in one of our comfortable country cabins. At Bestbrook we work to create memories you will remember long after you have returned home.

Whether it is time away with the kids, or a chance to catch up with friends, Bestbrook is the destination for you. Imagine waking up in the crisp morning air, hearing stories from days gone by, the freedom to run and play.

Enjoy the simple pleasures of life by getting a hands on experience with milking a cow, feeding our farm yard friends, cooking your own damper on our bush microwave, and boiling the billy for a cup of Aussie tea.

Our team, will introduce you to some of our local history, teach you how to throw a boomerang and the art of cracking a stock whip.

When the sun goes down on the farm, enjoy the creature comfort in your own country cabin, savour a freshly cooked, home-style dinner in our licensed restaurant then, and gather around the campfire for marshmallow toasting and a blanket of stars.

A word of Thanks from “The Farmer”

Bestbrook Farmstay is a working farm. While we don’t grow crops or rely on our animals to generate an income from their meat, we do have animals to help deliver the experiences you expect to get at a Farmstay. During our daily animal feeding shows our guests are given a little insight into life on the farm and most importantly where your food comes from, how hard a cow has to work to produce a baby then how much she might need to eat to produce milk to feed her baby. How quickly a little pig will grows and then take you to the market to see what might happen at a sale. You will meet our sheep and seasonal lambs and if there are eggs to collect, you can be a part of that too. We do thank you for your visitation and ongoing patronage as this continues to make our business sustainable allowing us to continue to employ passionate people to deliver all the activities that we offer. For this we would like to say, “Thanks Mate”.
