Are open campfires allowed?

Yes. Open campfires are permitted unless a complete fire ban is in place and campers will need to check the SDRC Council website or www.qfes.qld.gov.au for the most up to date information. Established fire pits are in various locations at all our campsites. Please try and use established fire pits only.

Are there fish in the creek?

You are welcome to try but our creek is very seasonal and is usually only a babbling brook, so not very deep. Yabbies is the best you will get and only during the warmer months.

How do I make a group booking?

Please contact the office directly so that we can assist with booking an area that will suit your group based on your requirements. We will make a booking for yourself then you can either email a list of all families names with numbers, email, mobile and address or each family can contact us directly and supply their own details.

Do I need a 4wd?

90% of our campsites are accessible to 2wd. You do cross our concrete crossing that is mostly above the waterline only during wet weather may water be across this crossing. Peacock crossing and Bore Flat you will need a 4wd as you cross our creek level crossing to access this area

Can we buy Ice, firewood and other essentials on site?

We do have a small shop at reception that stocks some personal items as well as the basics, milk, bread, ice and firewood. If you have forgotten something, please ask as usually can assist in some way

Is Gas available?

9kg Swap and go is available but can’t cater for Primus bottles or refills.

Is there phone service and internet available?

There is Telstra and Optus network services available. Free Wi-Fi is available at main building only, you can ask at reception for the password, 

Is Potable water available?

Individual sites don’t have water access but every tap on the property has potable water that you can refill your water containers, there is water access before entering the camping areas that is equipped with a hose for filling up your van/containers.

Are Pets allowed?

Pets are the responsibility of the owner, we ask that you keep them on a lead when visiting our small animal areas and demonstrations, they can be off lead at cabins or sites but must not chase our larger farm animals eg, cattle/horses. Pets can be in the cabins but we ask that you supply their own bed as an extra cleaning fee of $250 will be charged if there is evidence that they have been in or on beds and furniture. Also be aware you are in the country and mice at different times of the year can be invasive and the only way to control them in and around the cabins is with baits. Liken this to a snake bit, we accept no responsibility.

What time is check in?

Cabins from 2pm unless prior arrangements have been made.
Powered Camping from 12noon
Unpowered camping from 9am

Are Generators allowed?

Noiseless or quiet generators are allowed but must be used respectfully and should not interfere with other campers.

Can I get a refund if I cancel or postpone my booking?

Refunds are granted only if the booking is outside of 28days of arrival however you will lose 20% of your deposit in administration fees. If you cancel inside of 28days of arrival, we will offer you a credit that is valid for 6months from the original booked date.

Do you have a camp kitchen?

Currently no but we do have plans for one in the future.

Can I book a certain site?

Powered yes unpowered is first in best dressed as sites are not marked. When booking we allocate you to an area, but you don’t have to go there, you are free to pick a spot as long as you don’t camp within 20meters of a powered site.

What amenities are in the camping area?

We have 8 portable toilets on site as well as 2 blocks with 3 showers and 4 toilets each and campers can also use your bunkhouse bathrooms. At the bunkhouse there is 1 accessible bathroom (no ramp access yet, 3 steps to access), and 3 bathrooms with 2 showers and 2 toilets.

Is there a dump point for chemical toilets?

We have 2 x 1000litre tanks that we use as dump points located at the shower and toilet blocks.

What are the office hours?

Sunday- Thursday 8.30am-4pm
Friday-Saturday 8am-5pm
The exception to this is during school holidays and long weekends when office is open as long as coach house is open. If it is unattended, please check in kitchen.

What are the Kitchen hours?

Wednesday – Monday 8am-2pm for breakfast and lunch
Wednesday – Saturday 5pm-7pm for dinner (bookings essential)
Tuesday – CLOSED

Do you cater for people who are blind or have low vision?

Yes, while we don’t currently offer materials or signage in Braille, we are more than happy to assist individuals who are blind or have low vision in any way we can. Please feel free to reach out to us for support or accommodations you may need.

Do you cater for people who are deaf or have low hearing?

Yes, although we may not have specific accommodations for individuals with low hearing or who are deaf, we are committed to providing assistance and support in any way possible. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any inquiries or requests for assistance. We are here to help.

Do you cater for people who have limited mobility?

We acknowledge the diverse range of individuals with limited mobility, regardless of age. Our goal is to ensure that everyone, regardless of age, can enjoy their time with us comfortably and safely. If you have any specific requirements or requests, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re here to assist in any way we can.

Do you cater for people who use wheelchairs or mobility scooters? 

We are dedicated to ensuring accessibility for all visitors, including those who use wheelchairs or mobility scooters. While accessible amenities are currently under construction, we have installed a ramp to the restaurant to facilitate entry. However, please note that the farm is accessed via gravel paths, which may pose some challenges for wheelchair or mobility scooter users.

For camping, the majority of our camping areas are grassed. We recommend driving to the new accessible amenities, which are designed to accommodate individuals with mobility challenges. These facilities will offer greater convenience and accessibility for all visitors.

Do you cater for people with specific dietary requirements and food allergies or intolerances?

We offer options for those who are lactose intolerant, gluten-free, and vegetarian. However, please note that while we do have some vegan options available, they are limited.
If you have any specific dietary needs or allergies, please inform our staff, and we will do our best to accommodate you and ensure that your dining experience with us is enjoyable and worry-free.

Do you cater for people with cognitive disabilities or people on the Autism Spectrum?

Our farm offers a fantastic sensory experience that can be enjoyable and enriching for all visitors. From the sights and sounds of nature to the textures of the animals and plants, our farm provides a stimulating environment that engages the senses in a positive way.

We understand the importance of creating a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone, and we strive to ensure that all visitors feel comfortable and accommodated during their time with us.

Whether it’s providing quiet areas for relaxation or offering guided tours tailored to sensory preferences, we are committed to making your visit a memorable and enjoyable experience. Have any of the staff undergone disability awareness training?

Currently, no.

What facilities are provided?

We have ramp access to the restaurant. The farm is accessed by gravel paths. The accessible amenities are currently being upgraded and are due for completion in June 2024.

Do you provide a secure area with shade and water for service animals? 

Yes, we provide a secure area with shade and water for service animals. Our veranda, located just outside the restaurant, offers ample shade and a water bowl for service animals. This ensures that service animals accompanying our guests have a comfortable and safe environment to rest and hydrate while their owners enjoy their time with us. We are committed to ensuring the well-being of all visitors, including our furry companions, and strive to make their experience as pleasant as possible.
